Ms. Sarah Ashley Cotterell Bandyopadhyay is a 2009 graduate of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government. She minored in International Studies. She pursued her Juris Doctorate at Case Western Reserve University and graduated in 2013 with a Juris Doctorate and an International Law certification. She was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in November 2015.

Throughout her studies and career, Ms. Cotterell Bandyopadhyay has been an advocate for human rights. In 2010, Ms. Cotterell Bandyopadhyay interned for an international criminal tribunal in the Prosecution's division. She also provided research for an international tribunal during her participation in the War Crimes Project.
Ms. Cotterell Bandyopadhyay has dedicated most of her career to the field of immigration, as a research analyst at the Kentucky Consular Center and as an immigration attorney working at various firms. Her passion for immigration law was the motivation for starting her own firm where she can provide legal representation in the field of immigration law. On a personal note, Ms. Cotterell Bandyopadhyay understands the struggles families face during the immigration process. Ms. Cotterell Bandyopadhyay's own husband came to the United States on an H-1B visa and, later, applied for a green card.
