Licensed, TennesseeAuthorized to Practice Federal Immigration Law NationwideAILA Member

Sarah founded CB Immigration Law to focus exclusively on affirmative immigration work — visas, green cards, citizenship, and asylum petitions. Because immigration law is federal, she represents clients across all 50 states and U.S. territories, not just Tennessee.

She built the firm around a simple idea: every case gets a personalized strategy, an honest assessment of fit, and a flat, transparent fee — no hourly surprises.

Education & Background

Ms. Cotterell Bandyopadhyay earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2013, with a certification in International Law, and holds a B.A. in History and Government from Centre College, where she minored in International Studies. She was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in November 2015.

Her interest in human rights and immigration took shape early: while in law school, she interned with an international criminal tribunal’s Prosecution division and contributed research to a war crimes project. She later worked as a research analyst at the Kentucky Consular Center before practicing immigration law at several firms and founding CB Immigration Law.

Ms. Cotterell Bandyopadhyay’s connection to this work is personal as well as professional — her own husband came to the United States on an H-1B visa and later applied for a green card, giving her firsthand insight into what clients are navigating.
