The Department of State publishes a Visa Bulletin each month for the family-sponsored and employment-based preference categories. Each bulletin has two charts: "Final Action Dates" (when a visa may finally be issued) and "Dates for Filing" (the earliest dates when applicants may be able to apply).
For November 2026, the USCIS Adjustment of Status Filing Charts page says that for all family-sponsored preference categories, and for all employment-based preference categories, applicants adjusting status in the United States must use the Dates for Filing chart in the November 2026 bulletin. USCIS also says that if a category is current on the Final Action Dates chart, or its Final Action Date is later than its Dates for Filing date, applicants in that category may file using the Final Action Dates chart that month.
The dates below are copied from the USCIS page "When to File Your Adjustment of Status Application for Family-Sponsored or Employment-Based Preference Visas: November 2026," as we read it on Oct. 30, 2026 (the page shows "Last Reviewed/Updated: 10/05/2026"). Unless a country is named, each date is from the "All Chargeability Areas Except Those Listed" column. "C" means the category is current.
Family-sponsored Dates for Filing, November 2026: F1 01FEB21; F2A C; F2B 01SEP20; F3 01NOV15; F4 01NOV12. Mainland China matches these dates. India matches them except F4, 01FEB07. Mexico: F1 01DEC08, F2A C, F2B 22MAR11, F3 01DEC02, F4 30APR01. Philippines: F1 22APR15, F2A C, F2B 01OCT14, F3 22OCT06, F4 22MAR09.
Employment-based Dates for Filing, November 2026: EB-1 C; EB-2 15MAR26; EB-3 01AUG24; Other Workers 01JUL22; EB-4 and Certain Religious Workers 01JAN25; EB-5 unreserved C; EB-5 set-asides (rural, high unemployment, infrastructure) C. Mexico matches these dates. Mainland China: EB-1 01JUL24, EB-2 01JAN23, EB-3 01APR24, Other Workers 01OCT20, EB-5 unreserved 01MAR21. India: EB-1 01JUL24; EB-2, EB-3, and Other Workers 15JAN15; EB-5 unreserved 01MAY24. Philippines: EB-3 01JAN24 and Other Workers 01JUN22; its other employment dates match the first column.
Compared with the USCIS October 2026 Dates for Filing page, the family dates for F1, F2B, F3, and F4 in the first column are each one year later, and the employment chart is the same except Other Workers in the first column and for Mexico, which moved from 01JUN22 to 01JUL22.
To read the chart, find your category in the left column and your country of chargeability across the top. If the category shows "C," or your priority date is earlier than the date listed, USCIS says you may file your adjustment of status application that month, if you are otherwise eligible. These dates are set again every month, and they are not a prediction of when a visa will be issued or a case approved. This page does not list Final Action Dates; those are in the Department of State bulletin linked below.
For how the two charts work and what to check each month, see our explainer on reading the Visa Bulletin. If you are not sure which category or column applies to you, ask us to look at your priority date and chargeability.
